I am at the same "stuck" place with my shawl right now. I put it away most days then knit on it exclusively for a day. It will get done, just not today. Those ladybugs are precious! I want bumblebees too. I didn't see an equally cute bumblebee version, what a bummer. Hang in there :)

Hi Alison! I just stumbled across your blog and while reading it, I realized that you are knitting Hank 8 with substitutes like myself. I wish I had your idea of knitting with the Bronze and Autumn substitute switching places so that the focus of the pattern would remain at the centre of the pattern repeat instead of area on each side of the centre. The Autumn substitute I am using is Jamieson's Amber, which is too bright compared with the other colours. I'm also knitting the smaller size and I've just completed one sleeve. The sleeve measures 44 cm just as set out in the pattern and I find it a little too short for the intended recipient (a small man!) I will try adding eight extra rows to the ribbing on the second sleeve to see if I get the desired length. I love the content of your blog and hope to see your newest update!
